Fire and Water – Red and Black
Even on the darkest and dreariest of days, dwell on the beauty of life.
Temper a fiery spirit with a contemplation of spiritual things by combining the elements of fire and water. Although opposing elements in Feng Shui, the colors red and black signify life’s struggle to maintain balance in a crazy but beautiful world.
We all need the tonic of the sereneness of a mountain lake. And there is no companion so agreeable as solitude, says Thoreau. Water’s domain encompasses spirituality, inspiration, wisdom and insightfulness. But too much and one senses a lack of sympathy for others.
Alone time is good for the soul, but then, sometimes we need to lend a hand.
Fire increases enthusiasm and expressiveness. But too much fire shows itself as anger, aggression, and destructive behavior. Use this element sparingly to encourage not only your inspiration, but your boldness and zest for life.
Dwell on the beauty of life, watch the heavenly stars and see yourself running with them.
