There are two sayings I use a lot about work. The first is “Work hard, play harder.” The second is “Love what you do and never work another day in your life.”
Voltaire said, “I try to take advantage of idleness and make it useful, (Je tâche de profiter de cette oisiveté et de la rendre utile. Letters to Fredrick the Great)” implying that lessons learned may come unexpectedly. Oscar Wilde advises, “Be kind and forgive your enemies, for nothing annoys them so much.”
The point is simply to enjoy life and life will be enjoyable.
Stressless recliners are made in Sykkylven, Norway, a place where the days of summer are long, and the evenings are cool.
One wonders that if it could only be like this always – always summer, always warm and sunny, and friends and family in good cheer…
Oh, but then fall comes, kicking summer out as it must one day, sometime too soon in September, and fall staying a while like an old friend who lingers just for a moment to share a glass of wine and is gone again. And we share stories of yesterday, happier times for sure but none so happy as the recollection of time and friendship shared.
